Group 3: Key strategies (Button C): strengthening connectivity between coastal markets and inland areas

Group 3 of the key strategies aims to strengthen the link between coastal markets and inland areas.

This link is an important spatial condition for supporting the development and promotion of economic sectors in inland areas. This group includes the following two key strategies:

• Key Strategy 6: Strategic improve long-distance freight infrastructure (railways, multimodal dry ports, inland waterways and pipelines) to reduce transport costs.
• Key Strategy 7: Strategic improvement of transport corridor infrastructure to underline the importance of high speed to stimulate investment in the inland (motorways, high-quality dual carriageways, air transport and ICT).

Key Strategies 6 and 7 must be fully implemented to link coastal and inland markets.
