Counterpart organisations and project management structure

The project management comprises the following two lines:

– One for Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Togo: under the Department of Community Spatial Planning and Transport (DATC) of the WAEMU Commission.

– The other for Ghana: under the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) of Ghana and the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MRH) of Ghana.

At the national level, Technical and Monitoring Committees (CTCS-National) are organised for the three UEOMA countries, involving various ministries and agencies. The CTCS-National chairs come from the following ministries :

  • – Burkina Faso: Ministry of Economy and Finance
  • – Côte d’Ivoire: Ministry of Economy and Finance
  • – Togo: Ministry of Development Planning

In the subregion, a Joint Regional Technical and Monitoring Committee (CTCS-Regional) is made up of representatives from seven ministries in each country and chaired by the DATC, and WAEMU Commission. In addition, a joint steering committee is made up of seven ministers from the three countries.

For Ghana, the chairmanship of the Steering Committee and the Technical Committee is as follows:
